CHERRY HILL — A pedestrian was struck on Route 38 on Thursday morning, shutting down a portion of the road.

The road was closed on the eastbound side between Cuthbert Boulevard and Longwood Avenue around 6 a.m., while one lane got by on the westbound side.

6ABC Action News and CBS Philly both reported that the pedestrian was killed in the incident.

The Cherry Hill school district warned buses would be delayed by the closures.

The road has three lanes in each direction, with a Jersey barrier dividing the sides. There are retail stores and restaurants on either side of the road, with traffic lights at nearly every intersection.
