With flowers and a large sign remembering victims 18-year-old Cristina LoBrutto and 24-year-old Bryan Breen, employees made a special point to greet customers as they returned to the store according to the Star Ledger. One customer said it gave him the “chills’ to shop there.

In a statement, the Old Bridge Pathmark says it is grateful for the community’s outpouring of support and looks forward to serving residents.

LoBrutto and Breen each died of a single gunshot while they worked the overnight shift last Friday with ex-Marine Terence Tyler, who returned to the store and fired 16 rounds during the shooting.

A second vigil was held at Pathmark on Thursday afternoon attended  by many employees and customers. As they stood silently exchanging hugs and quiet greetings, Marshall Shelly, minister of St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Spotswood offered a blessing of the store.  “As we remember Bryan and Cristina, it’s an opportunity for us to grow and develop an appreciation for life,” he said according to the Star Ledger.
