Ocean County Fugitive Caught In Florida

An Ocean County man who was on the State Police Top 12 Most Wanted List has been arrested in Florida.

Robert Marone, also known as Joseph Marone, was arrested in Fort Lauderdale where he had been living under an assumed name for the past 15 years reports the Star Ledger. State Police received a tip and the arrest was made by Florida police less than an hour later as Marone walked along a road.

According to the State Police Top 12 he was wanted for aggravated sexual assault. He was also wanted on charges of endangering the welfare of a child and parole violation related to homicide conviction.
