No ‘New Jersey Comeback’ in Chris Christie’s Keynote Address

Gov. Chris Christie says the words "New Jersey Comeback' will not be part of his keynote speech at the Republican National Convention.

The governor says he's planning to steer clear of the words that have become a lightning rod for New Jersey Democrats to attack his economic policies.

Christie proclaimed months ago that the state's economic rebound had begun. But New Jersey's unemployment rate has since risen to its highest rate in 35 years and revenue collections were disappointing in July, the first month of the fiscal year.

The outspoken first-term governor is not giving any hints as to what he'll say to the nation on Tuesday night.

At an event in New Brunswick on Wednesday, he assured the press corps that the `comeback' was never part of his speech.
