Previte, who’s band “Franke and The Knockouts” had several hits in the 80’s including “Sweetheart” and “Without You.”  Previte went on to co-write the “Dirty Dancing” classics “I’ve Had The Time of My Life” and “Hungry Eyes,” has written a new song with his cousin Dusty Micale entitled “ Merry Christmas Everybody.”

The song was intended for Christine Aguilera, “They called me and asked me if I'd like to write a Christmas song and I said do you realize that it’s two days before Easter? “ says Previte, “ Little did I know they wanted an up-tempo song, of course I wrote a ballad.”

Lisa Sherman who co-created the hit musical “Decades Of Divas” with Previte, recorded "Merry Christmas Everybody" and they performed it live last Saturday at the Count Basie Theatre and received a huge response from the song.  They sold a ton of copies after the show and they’ve decided to donate all the proceeds from the song to Lunch Break, a charity that feeds, clothes and assists those in need in the Red Bank area.

Not only is this a great new holiday song but every time you hear it, you’ll be reminded of the fact that you helped to feed someone in need because you bought it.  If “Merry Christmas Everybody” has the success of some of Previte's other songs, it will be quickly become an instant holiday classic.
