A star running back in South Jersey, with a scholarship to Purdue, has been kicked off the Millville football team. Senior Rob Ennis was charged with aggravated assault for hitting a woman at a beauty pageant.  He's still going through the legal process and there is no word from Purdue about the status of his scholarship.

This coming on the heels of the cancellation of the entire football season at Sayreville War Memorial High School, anti-bullying advocates say hazing and bullying within New Jersey school sports programs is much more prevalent than you might think.

In south Philly, a home was quarantined Thursday when health officials thought they had a case of Ebola on their hands.  A woman who had just returned from the Congo has symptoms but it was quickly determined she did not have Ebola.

Yesterday we were telling you how a U.S. customs agent has admitted screening at Newark airport for the deadly Ebola virus isn't effective because officers haven't been taught what to look for. Gov. Christie says the situation will soon be corrected.

In Mercer county, freeholders are looking at better cleaning and sanitizing schools, in response to the death of a four-year old preschooler in Yardville from Enterovirus D-68. But some say cleaning the schools doesn’t go far enough. They are calling for a plan to sanitize the buses that take the kids to school.

In Jackson, town officials say they will sanitize all government buildings and playground equipment.

There is another data breach, this time at Dairy Queen stores, including two in New Jersey.  Hackers may have gained access to credit card numbers and expiration dates.  The Jersey stores affected are in Plainfield and Park Ridge...

You should be very worried about your personal information being stolen because of a data breach. Cyber security experts tell the state assembly's homeland security committee that you probably can't totally protect yourself.

A tire blowout caused a nasty accident on the New Jersey Turnpike that sent three young kids to the hospital. They were riding in an SUV with their parents in Westampton when the front passenger tire blew, causing the truck to flip over. Police say the kids were not wearing their seatbelts and one of them was thrown from the vehicle.

Organizers say thousands of activists from around the country will be in the St. Louis area starting today, for four days of rallies, marches and civil disobedience to protest the August police shooting of an unarmed black 18-year-old. And St. Louis attorney Jerryl Christmas says this week's shooting of a black 18-year-old by an off-duty officer working as a security guard will escalate the situation. Police say Wednesday's shooting death of Vonderrit Myers came after Myers shot at the officer. Myers' mother says her son was only carrying a sandwich.

Six New Jersey towns already mandate paid sick leave and two more are getting ready to vote on the issue next month. Meanwhile in Trenton, lawmakers and the business community are battling over a bill to create a statewide earned sick leave law.

Monmouth park has taken the next step in it's quest to be the first place to offer sports betting in New Jersey.  The racetrack has formed it's own sports wagering association to protect the integrity of the bets.  Meanwhile a federal judge is scheduled to hear the latest court arguments the end of this month.

Two New York police officers are charged with aggravated sexual assault for taking advantage of a sleeping woman in Atlantic City.  It happened at the Taj Mahal back in April.  Both of the officers have pleaded not guilty.

Casino workers at the Taj Mahal in Atlantic City are offering a counter proposal to try and save their jobs. The Taj has proposed ending pensions and healthcare and is asking a judge to terminate their union contract or they will be forced to close next month.

Airline delays and cancellations are up slightly this year versus last. But a key industry observer says there's even more trouble ahead for travelers.

A recent state Supreme court ruling is drawing attention to a little known law being broken more frequently.
