Play Ball! MLB Players ‘Walk-up’ Songs

Finally, the baseball season starts for real this week. It’s become a tradition that players have a few moments of their favorite songs played on the Public Address system when they come up to bat.  Here’s a sampling of those “walk-up” songs.

I chose six players from each of the three local MLB teams.  I’ve included three position players and three pitchers from each team.

I think a few of the songs are great.  Most of the music is not my cup of tea.  Let it be known I’m a coffee drinker (ha ha) but everyone’s entitled  to their musical taste.

We’ll start off with The Amazin’ Mets:

One of the great things about the start of a new baseball season is “hope”.  High expectations and the hope of winning The World Series.

In early November will either the Mets, Yankees or Phillies be playing Queen’s “We Are The Champions”?

Stay tuned.
