The Miss America Organization made the announcement Monday.

It's the eighth time Harrison has handled the duties. He also serves as host of the syndicated version of "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?"

Harrison's co-host for the Sept. 11 event at Boardwalk Hall will be Sage Steele, host and commentator for ABC's and ESPN's "NBA Countdown" and several other ESPN shows. Steele also has co-hosted ABC's and ESPN's New Year's Rockin' Eve coverage and has been a featured guest host on ABC's The View.

The pageant started in Atlantic City and returned in 2013 after eight years in Las Vegas.

Last year's winner was Miss Georgia Betty Cantrell.
