New Jersey Sen. Bob Menendez, who is expected to seek re-election next year, has launched a new Web site and video. The site, MenendezforNJ.com, precedes any official announcement from the Hoboken Democrat.

The video shows the senator’s two grown children talking about their father’s love of the theater, video games and bowling.

If the former Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee chairman runs again, he’ll be on the ballot as President Barack Obama also seeks a second term.  An October Quinnipiac University poll showed voters split 40-38 percent on whether Menendez deserves another six-year term.

His expanded Internet presence comes after an announcement that federal prosecutors ended an investigation into his relationship with a Hudson County nonprofit.

GOP Sens. Joe Kyrillos and Michael Doherty are among those thinking of challenging Menendez.
