CAMDEN, N.J. (AP) -- A federal jury has convicted a Philadelphia auto shop owner for orchestrating a murder-for-hire plot that led to the shooting of his daughter's boyfriend in Atlantic City.

Ronald Galati now faces up to 70 years in prison, though a sentencing date hasn't been scheduled.

The 63-year-old Galati was found guilty of conspiracy to commit murder for hire; conspiracy to possess and use a firearm during a crime of violence; murder for hire, and aiding and abetting the possession and use of a firearm during a crime of violence.

The jury deliberated for five hours before returning its verdict Tuesday.

Prosecutors said Galati and an employee hired two men commit the shooting. The victim was shot multiple times and underwent emergency surgery before being hospitalized for six days.
