NJ Woman Pleads Guilty in Murder-For-Hire Scheme
Federal prosecutors say a northern New Jersey woman has admitted that she tried to hire a hit man to kill her ex-boyfriend's new girlfriend.
Forty-three-year-old Nicole Faccenda of Lyndhurst pleaded guilty Wednesday to a complaint charging her in the scheme. She faces up to 10 years in prison when she's sentenced in November.
Prosecutors say Faccenda asked a friend in Florida to find someone to carry out the hit, but the friend instead called authorities.
Faccenda met with the friend and a federal agent posing as a hit man, and agreed to pay $10,000 to have the woman killed.
Prosecutors said that Faccenda was recorded telling a friend she wanted to go to the girlfriend's funeral and "spit on her casket."
