There were many famous names in New Jersey that are in the history books as part of the Revolutionary War. One of those historical names has ties to NJ101.5.   Jim Gearhart, our legendary voice heard here every morning on NJ1015, has an ancestor who was part of the Revolutionary War.

Captain Jacob Gearhart was a Revolutionary War patriot who secured boats for Washington's famous crossing and stay at Valley Forge.

You can see Capt. Jacob Gearhart's house in Franklin Township in Hunterdon County. Here are pictures of the sign that is fixed outside the house.
