Jersey City Shooting Involving Police Leaves One Dead

The Hudson County prosecutor’s office says one person has died after a shooting involving police in Jersey City.

The Hudson County prosecutor tells WABC-TV that detectives are investigating the fatal Friday night shooting in Jersey City.

The Jersey Journal reports police were responding to a report at 239 Fowler Avenue of a man who barricaded himself inside the apartment.

Police tell WNBC-TV that officers responded to a call of an emotionally disturbed person in a building and will release more details later this morning.
