Late Tuesday night, Warner Bros announced they have given the green light to the long-awaited Entourage movie. The HBO comedy-series that ran from 2004 to 2011 was a very popular show and has lived on strongly through DVD sales and syndication since going off the air.

According to Deadline,

The film will be directed by series creator Doug Ellin, who wrote the screenplay and who exec produced the series with Mark Wahlberg and Stephen Levinson. Deals are starting to be made with Adrian Grenier, who played Chase, Kevin Connolly, who played his manager Eric “E” Murphy, Kevin Dillon, who played the actor’s brother Johnny Drama, Jerry Ferrara, who played their entrepreneurial driver Turtle, and Jeremy Piven, who played the show’s iconic type A talent agent Ari Gold.

The article goes on to suggest that most of the supporting actors and actresses will also sign on to be in the movie, which should make big Entourage fans like myself very happy.

I for one am very excited to see what this movie will be like. Entourage is one of my favorite shows and I firmly believe that Ari Gold, played by Jeremy Piven, is one of the most dynamic TV characters of all time.
