Kaci Hickox has broken her quarantine, stepping out of her home and shaking the hand of a reporter-- even taking a morning bike ride.  State police in Maine are following her every move.  They cannot detain her unless a judge orders it and that could happen this morning.  She agreed to a voluntary home quarantine when she was released from isolation in Newark this week but has since says she plans to leave her home today. Meanwhile President Obama is offering her support and support for all the volunteers who have traveled to West Africa to help treat Ebola patients.

Governor Christie is wishing the nurse well, but he's also insisting Jersey's mandatory quarantine makes sense and it will not be altered.

When your trick-or-treaters are done hunting for candy, hang up the costumes and pull out the winter coats. This weekend should bring much colder air and even the chance for snow in some spots.

A scathing report says the Red Cross was often more interested in public relations than actually helping victims of Hurricane Sandy.  NPR is reporting the Red Cross mishandled it's response to Sandy and other disasters.  One example:  ordering volunteers to drive around mostly empty trucks...so they would look like they were giving relief.  Red Cross officials are disputing the report.  You can read all the details as part of the exclusive content at NJ1015.com this morning.

There are many who are not happy with the pace of recovery two years after Sandy.  Governor Christie got an earful from a heckler as he met with families down the shore Wednesday.  At first, Christie ignored him, then told the guy he didn’t know what he was talking about and then this. The protester continued to yell until he was escorted away by police.  You can see the video on our website.

Christie is praising rebuilding efforts up and down the Jersey coastline, while promising to continue to help those in need.

A scare at Woodbridge high school.  Parents were notified last night that a 17-year old student was threatening to bring a weapon to class today.  He has been arrested...and charged with possessing a weapon and making terroristic threats.  The school is open this morning.

Police say it appears a band of thugs are targeting Asian American families in a series of home invasions in Middlessex County.  The latest was in South Plainfield.  Tuesday night, a father was pistol-whipped in front of his family and in all three of these recent cases, the family including children, were tied up.

We are finding out, unfortunately, that the Sayreville sexual hazing case is not unique.  An upstate New York school district has cancelled it's season after reports of sexually charged hazing in their locker room. A school in bucks county, pa, has done the same.  There are more.  So far, Sayreville is the only case that has produced criminal charges but the investigations are continuing in the other districts.

Another ugly side to the Sayreville scandal may also be surfacing now. NBC news is reporting that some local residents and former graduates are viewing the case through the prism of race. All seven of the football team members facing criminal charges are black, according to sources quoted by NBC, and one white Sayreville graduate is quoted as saying, "I think the community would like to pin the tail on the black donkey."

Hunger is an epidemic in every area of the state says Adele Latourette with the New Jersey anti-hunger coalition, in fact it the worst she's seen it in 30 years as an advocate. She's calling government to help people feed their families to relieve some stress from food pantries where lines are historically long.

Fancy yourself a vampire?  Then Philly is the place for you.  Redfin has looked at all the major cities in the U.S. and found Philly is tops in things that appeal to vampires: the number of cloudy days bar closing times even the number of blood banks in town.  Baltimore and Seattle would be fine choices as well.

Scientists on Hawaii's big island are continuing to monitor lava flow from the Kilauea volcano, which is approaching homes in the village of Pahoa. The lava flow is threatening to consume its first home, which is about 100 feet away. And another home is about 100 yards away. Dozens of homes, business and other structures are in the area of the lava flow. That number could increase as the flow front widens.

There's a new shift in the housing market in New Jersey.

Jersey is now officially into its third year of sandy recovery and the hardest hit victims still need a lot of help. Today's Monmouth University poll shows those needs have barely changed since the same residents were surveyed one year after the storm.

Governor Christie has been a money-making machine for the GOP this year, bringing in over 100-million dollars to help Republican governor's get re-elected.  Christie has spent more time outside of New Jersey raising money and campaigning than he has in his home state.  Her will visit at least 19-states in the final five days before the election.
