NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell appeared on CNBC, and said with a straight face, that fantasy football is not about wagering.

Sure fantasy football is not about wagering - and Kellen Winslow was just changing his clothes in that car in the Target parking lot.

“Fantasy’s a different issue for us,” Goodell said. “We see families getting together. It’s not about wagering. They’re competing against one another. And it’s a fun forum for our fans to engage in the game.” Perhaps they should call it “Family Football”

If Roger Goodell believes that, then he’s living in a fantasy. The reality is that millions of dollars are wagered every year on fantasy football. In fact it’s already legal in New Jersey’s casino, and you can do it there.

Do you participate in fantasy football? How successful are you?
