NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell appeared on CNBC, and said with a straight face, that fantasy football is not about wagering.

Sure fantasy football is not about wagering - and Kellen Winslow was just changing his clothes in that car in the Target parking lot.

“Fantasy’s a different issue for us,” Goodell said. “We see families getting together. It’s not about wagering. They’re competing against one another. And it’s a fun forum for our fans to engage in the game.” Perhaps they should call it “Family Football”

If Roger Goodell believes that, then he’s living in a fantasy. The reality is that millions of dollars are wagered every year on fantasy football. In fact it’s already legal in New Jersey’s casino, and you can do it there.
