Elderly Fair Lawn Man Admits to Child Porn Charge

An elderly New Jersey man who admitted downloading numerous child porn images and videos is now facing up to 20 years in prison.

Federal prosecutors say 81-year-old Joseph Amari of Fair Lawn pleaded guilty Wednesday to a complaint charging him with receipt of child pornography.

Amari admitted that he used peer-to-peer file-sharing software to download the images and videos in February 2007. He faces a mandatory minimum penalty of five years in prison when he's sentenced May 13, and could receive as much as 20 years.

Amari is currently serving a state prison sentence for unrelated child endangerment charges.
