Driver Pleads Not Guilty In Teen Cousin Deaths
Prosecutors are planning to upgrade charges against a Lower Township driver accused of hitting and killing two teenage cousins.
A tearful Joshua Malmgren appeared in court Thursday. His lawyer entered a not guilty plea to vehicular homicide charges. The 30-year-old also is charged with driving while intoxicated.
Authorities say Malmgren hit 15-year-old Nioami Lazicki and 13-year-old Ashley Dauber of Philadelphia on a Middle Township road as the girls walked home from a playground on Tuesday night.
Cape May County prosecutors say they plan to upgrade the charges to aggravated manslaughter.
