Don’t post pictures of your paycheck on Instagram

You would think people would know better, but wily thieves stole more than $2 million from people who posted pictures of their first paycheck on Instagram. The thieve just searched for the hashtag “#myfirstpaycheck” and found plenty of people posing with their checks. The thieves then took the personal and bank information and opened dummy accounts to cash bad or unauthorized checks. Twenty eight people have been charged in the scheme.
