Pope Francis has made it known that he is against marijuana. He told members of a drug-enforcement conference meeting in Rome on Friday that even limited attempts to legalize recreational drugs ‘are not only highly questionable from a legislative standpoint, but they fail to produce the desired effects.’”

In New Jersey, a recent Quinnipiac University poll found voters evenly divided over whether or not small amounts of marijuana should be legal.

Governor Christie, is a Catholic that is against marijuana. He told “Ask The Governor” listeners that it will never be legalized as long as he in is office.

The Bible offers both good and bad views on marijuana.

Personally, I agree with comedian Bill Hicks who wondered why God would have created marijuana if he didn’t want us to use it.

Will the Pope’s stance have an effect on any Catholics opinion on whether or not it should be legalized here in New Jersey? Does it have an effect on your opinion?
