Do Kids Still Shovel to Make Money? [POLL]

When Governor Christie talked about how expensive it was for New Jersey to clean up all the snow we’ve been having, my thought was ‘Couldn’t we find a kid to do that?  That’s because when I was a kid, snow for me was a windfall. But nowadays it seems to be a lost art.

But there are some young entrepreneurs out there who see snow as a way to make a profit. For instance Jacob Rosenfeld of Teaneck shovels so much, he accepts both cash and credit! Rosenfeld purchased “Square,” which is used to read credit cards. Now that’s progress!

Are there kids in your neighborhood who shovel? What’s the going rate?
