Did Bill Doyle stumble upon a long lost relative?

I pass this sign every day and, since we share a name, have always wondered who he was.

After a quick Google search, I found that Brigadier General William C. Doyle was the man who (successfully) spearheaded the movement to establish a cemetery specifically for New Jersey veterans. However, I still don't know if we're related, but now know why the sign is there.
