I pass this sign every day and, since we share a name, have always wondered who he was.

After a quick Google search, I found that Brigadier General William C. Doyle was the man who (successfully) spearheaded the movement to establish a cemetery specifically for New Jersey veterans. However, I still don't know if we're related, but now know why the sign is there.

If you want to visit the cemetery for yourself, the address is 350 Province Line Rd, Wrightstown, NJ 08562.
