A family in England got the scare of a lifetime when spiders started coming out of the fair trade bananas they bought at a grocery store. As reported by Metro, the family sent a picture of one of the spiders to an expert who advised that they could possibly be venomous Brazilian Wandering spiders.

Since their home was infested with them, they had a pest control firm come and fumigate the place; they were out for three days and also had to dry clean all their clothes to make sure they got all the spiders. The grocery store paid for the lodging and the dry cleaning. I can't help but wonder if that would have happened if the bananas hadn't been "fair trade"; I assume since they are fair trade they are also organic and weren't treated with pesticides that could have killed the spiders.
