New Jersey Governor Chris Christie will co-host an hour of NBC's Today Show at the start of  the Memorial Day Weekend.

Co-host Savannah Guthrie told Jay Leno on Monday's Tonight Show that Christie will co-host the 8 a.m. hour, on Friday, May 24 when the show will be live from Seaside Heights. The show will no doubt focus on the Jersey Shore's recovery from Sandy and preparations to be ready for the first unofficial weekend of summer.

It's part of the Today show's Great American Adventure in which the entire show will travel together to different location during the week of May 20. They'll start Monday in Hawaii,  Yellowstone National Park on Tuesday,  head to Chicago on Wednesday and Orlando on Thursday. They'll end the week in Seaside Heights on Friday.
