Cell Phone Not To Blame For This One [VIDEO]

A girl is chatting away on her cell phone walking down a street in China.  Suddenly the sidewalk weakened by rain opens up a hole right beneath her and she disappears, and it's all caught on camera.  This is one time the cell phone distraction doesn't appear to be the culprit.  

Even without the cellphone, it doesn't look like she could have known the sidewalk was about to give way.  Luckily someone saw it happened and stopped to help.  Soon a huge crowd gathers as rescuers work to get the girl above ground.

I want to know if something our mothers always told us works in reverse.  If you fall through a hole in China do you end up all the way in New Jersey?
