Body that washed up on NJ beach was of foreign boardwalk worker

NORTH  WILDWOOD — A man who came to the United States to work on the boardwalk has been identified as the person whose body washed up on a beach on Sunday.

Ismail Ahmed Abdelmonem Ismail's body was found Sunday night on the beach between 24th and 25th avenues, according to North Wildwood Police. He recently came to the United States from Egypt.

Police released a photo of the maroon shorts he was wearing in an effort to identify him.

The 24-year-old was identified using fingerprints. His death is considered accidental.
