Boy, I missed New Jersey.

For the past week, I was enjoying the warm tropics of the Caribbean and was totally unplugged from reality. I do this a couple of times a year. No Radio. No TV. No Newspapers.

As much as I enjoy -- and need -- this break, I love coming home. Nowhere else is my journalistic appetite fed like here in New Jersey.

My heart aches for the family of those children involved in that horrific school bus crash.

I mourned the passing of Whitney Houston. An individual of such great talent whose poor life decisions should make all of us take notice of our own lives.

Governor Christie's expected veto of the Gay Marriage Bill, and the spectacle surrounding this process, exemplifies the worst of the political process.

And today is the Governor's Budget Address. It marks the opening salvo in a process that will take us to the end of June, and will surely provide political entertainment for all.
