The Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office says police responded to a report of two armed men in the Stanley Holmes Village Apartment Complex Monday.

Investigators say 24-year-old Terry Davis followed the command by officers and dropped his weapon. He's held on $100,000 bail, charged with several weapons offenses.

But 18-year-old Derreck Mack fled on foot and was shot by a police officer, whose name wasn't released. Mack was later pronounced dead at a hospital.

Prosecutors announced Tuesday night that 19-year-old Raymond Mack was arrested at the scene for trying to punch an Atlantic City police officer. He was charged with aggravated assault and cocaine possession charges.

Authorities did not say if the Macks were related.
