Amtrak wire problems cause 2-hour delays headed to New England
An overhead wire problem was causing delays of up to two hours for Amtrak travelers headed for New England Wednesday afternoon.
Amtrak said it was running limited diesel service between Penn Station New York and New Rochelle, N.Y., which was creating a 1-2 hour delay.
"Engineering forces are working as quickly and safely as possible to restore power," wrote Amtrak in a statement. No estimate was offered as to when service would be restored.
UPDATE: Service was restored via temporary repairs around 4 p.m.
Passengers have tweeted about their delays.
