Search for the Snake - The search continues for an anaconda in Lake Hopatcong, despite no sightings, photos or videos of the 15 foot non-native snake. Department of Envirornmental officials are taking a recent report that one was spotted seriously enough, but are searching for more evidence. As the mystery goes on, residents have gone about business as usual at the lake.

Summer Stress - Summertime and the living is anything but easy for lots of folks. A new study finds life during the summer months is actually the most stressful time of the year.

Officer's Final Moments - The 9-1-1 call alerting Jersey City Police to an apparent armed robbery at a Walgreens, leading to the death of an officer, captures the moment when witnesses realize Lawrence Campbell took a security guard's weapon. Campbell then lay in wait for officers to arrive on scene, and fatally shot rookie cop Melvin Santiago. Police shot and killed Campbell in response.

Expanding "Move Over" Law - Did you know the law requires you to slow down and move over when you're approaching an emergency vehicle with its lights on? The Assemblyman who sponsored the law says the recent death of a Waldwick cop who was hit by a truck highlights the need to raise awareness and expand the law.

Suspect Out on Bail - 25-year-old Leticia Harris, accused of savagely beating a co-worker in Salem, is free from jail this morning after posting $20,000 bail last night. Harris has been held since she was seen on tape beating up Catherine Ferrera in front of her toddler. She cannot have contact with the victim or leave the state. The case is being reviewed by a grand jury.
Rachel Canning Update - The court case between Rachel canning and her boyfriend over a restraining order is being pushed back a few weeks. That's because the attorney for 18-year old Lucas Kitzmiller could not make yesterday's hearing. Canning filed a temporary order against Kitzmiller following a weekend incident where she was allegedly choked by him. He has filed for his own restraining order. The judge has asked both parties to not publicize the case any further.
Showboat Rally - Several hundred workers from the soon to be shuttered Showboat in Atlantic City will protest the casino's closing at a rally tonight. Employees hope to swing public opinion and persuade Caesars Entertainment to sell the still-profitable facility to another owner.
Rocky Mountain Visit - As he continues his whirlwind summer fundraising tour in Colorado, Governor Christie stood by comments he made on our Ask The Governor program criticizing their legal pot program. Christie says he is not backing off an inch and that legalizing marijuana is the wrong thing to do. A handful of protestors held signs telling Christie to go home; he will be in Colorado again today.

New Commissioner- The Port Authority Board of Commissioners officially approves John Degnan as the new chairman of the beleaguered agency. The former New Jersey Attorney General replaces David Samson, who resigned amid controversy in March.
Teens Not Stopped - Despite the additional restrictions and requirements of New Jersey's graduated driver license program, it hasn't stopped teens from getting their license.

Logo Suit- The Turnpike Authority is trying to stop a pizza place 1,300 miles away from using the Garden State Parkway's logo. The agency is suing Florida-based Jersey Boardwalk Pizza, saying the business is using the famous logo to draw in customers and potential franchisees.
Pounding the Gaza Strip - Israeli tanks and warplanes are pummeling the Gaza Strip as the United States and other diplomats push for a cease-fire between Israel and Hamas militants. Gaza police say an infant boy was among those killed when Israeli fighter jets struck a refugee camp early today. Meanwhile the FAA lifts its ban on flights to Israel despite the continued violence; the decision was made late last night.
