The funeral of 3-year-old Brendan Creato will be a private one.

The South Jersey Times reports a service will be held on Thursday for the 3-year-old, who was found dead along the Cooper River in Haddon Township a week ago. The funeral home did not release any details of the services at the direction of the family.

No further information has been released by the Camden County Prosecutor's Office as to how Creato died and the family has not spoken to the media.  An autopsy was done on the child's body but “the cause and manner (of death) were not determined,” said Andy McNeil, public information officer for the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office. “The results are pending. It’s an ongoing and active investigation.”

Authorities have not said whether they suspect foul play and no one has been charged. As Halloween approaches, some are nervous about sending their kids out. "We're just nervous and we'd like to know some answers," resident  Lori Bonrisco told NBC 10. "Halloween's coming and we're debated whether to even let the kids go trick-or-treating."
