Firefighters rescued two women who grabbed onto an outfall pipe about 30 yards off the Atlantic City
coast.
Deputy Fire Chief Vincent Granese tells The Press of Atlantic City it appeared the women were swimming
after lifeguards went off duty Sunday when they got caught in a current. The woman held onto the pipe.

A firefighter injured his foot while helping to get the women off the pipe.
