Robbinsville Police arrested two men in connection with an armed robbery of two teenage girls on Thursday.

Sean Albertson, 18, of Hamilton Township and Matthew Fryar, 20 were arrested on Friday in a home on Samuel Street and the firearm used in the robbery on Line Road in Robbinsville was recovered, police said.

Two teen girls told police they had been held up at gunpoint on the cul-de-sac of Line Road while walking in the woods along the borders of all three municipalities. They said their purses were stolen. They told police the suspect ran west on Flock Road in Hamilton.

Police on Friday said that they believed the robbery was not a random act and they had identified the suspects.

Fryar was charged with two counts of robbery, two counts of aggravated assault, possession of a weapon, possession of weapon for an unlawful purpose, and theft, according to authorities. He is being held pending $100,000 bail at the Mercer County Corrections Facility.

Police say Albertson was charged with conspiracy to commit robbery and distribution of a controlled dangerous substance. Albertson was released after posting $20,000 bail.
