The incident took place Tuesday evening on Corey Lane in Mendham, at about 8 p.m. according to CBS New York.

"The injured officers’ conditions were not immediately learned. An officer at the scene said their injuries were non-fatal," the CBS New York report states.

The truck driver was also injured, according to reports.

Initial reports indicate that at least one officer was "heavily entrapped" in the vehicle. According to a tweet by North Jerzy Fire alerts, a medivac helicopter was requested but later canceled. The officer was instead transported by ambulance to Morristown Memorial Hospital.

The Mendham Police Department was contacted but police were unable to provide any additional information at this time. Authorities have not said whether or not the dense fog in some areas of the state had anything to do with the collision.

This is a developing story. We will have additional details as they become available.
