Police say 36-year-old Anada Medina and her 18-year-old daughter, Stephanie Garcia, were killed Thursday in Merchantville when the speeding vehicle crossed over into oncoming traffic.

Officials say the vehicle that hit them was traveling up to 100 mph on a road with a 25 mph speed limit.

The 31-year-old driver and a passenger in that vehicle are in critical condition.

Authorities have not released the name of the driver.

Investigators from the county prosecutor's office and two local police departments are reviewing evidence to determine what charges to file.
