Police say a 19-year-old Jamesburg man was killed Wednesday when he was ejected from the motorcycle he was riding riding after colliding with a car being driven by an 82-year-old woman in Monroe Township.

According to authorities, Michael Parker was traveling south on Half Acre Road on a 2005 Honda CBR motorcycle at 1:37 p.m., approaching the intersection of David Brainderd Drive when the accident occurred. Police say as he approached the intersection, a 2010 Lexus driven by Judith B. Schaffer of Monroe was attempting to make a left-hand turn from the northbound lane of Half Acre Road onto Brainerd Drive.

The motorcycle driven by Parker and Schaffer's vehicle then collided in the southbound lane of Half Acre Road, according to a statement by police. Authorities say Parker was ejected from the motorcycle during the crash.

Parker suffered a severe head injury as well as other internal injuries, police said. He was pronounced dead at the scene

Schaffer suffered a "minor leg injury" and was transported to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick."

A 90-year-old passenger in Schaffer's vehicle was uninjured, authorities said.
