Authorities in Camden County are investigating a fatal shooting that took place early Sunday, leaving a 41-year-old man dead.

According to the Camden County Prosecutor's Office, police responded to 911 calls at 12:30 a.m. Sunday in response to gunfire and a person shot on Whitman Avenue in Camden.

When police arrived, the found Curtis Chambers of Camden inside a residence. Police say the victim suffered gunshot wounds and was taken to Cooper University Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 12:46 a.m., the Prosecutor's Office stated.

No arrests have been made, according to authorities, but the shooting is still under investigation.
