Authorities say the 40-year-old man was working under a 130-foot tree at a Princeton residence when the accident occurred early Sunday afternoon.

Another worker was up in the tree, trimming it with a chainsaw, when a 15-foot limb broke free from its safety tether. The limb came down and hit the victim, who suffered severe head trauma.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not been disclosed.

Authorities say the investigation is ongoing.
