Woman found fatally shot in Hamilton apartment

HAMILTON (Mercer) — A woman was found shot to death in an apartment inside a home on South Olden Avenue on Sunday morning.

Police arrived just after 6 a.m. after being called to the Hamilton home near the Trenton border, and found Jennifer Beer, 31, fatally shot, according to Mercer County Prosecutor's Office spokeswoman Casey DeBlasio.

DeBlasio said a person of interest was taken into custody, but no charges have been filed yet.
