CAMDEN - Camden County police are asking for the public's help identifying a suspect in connection with a sexual assault that took place last week in the city.

Police say on June 16 around 1:05 a.m. the female victim met the suspect in the area of 5th and Ramona streets and agree to go with him in his vehicle to another location nearby. The suspect drove a few blocks, stopping his vehicle and parking in 2nd and Mount Vernon streets.

According to police, the victim and the suspect began to have a conversation at which point the suspect pulled out a knife and allegedly assaulted the victim.

Police say the suspect is described as an Hispanic male. His is unshaven and is believed to weigh about 230 lbs. His vehicle is described as a light blue or gray minivan that could possibly be a 2005 Chrysler Towns and Country or a 2005 Dodge Caravan.
