As the Perry Como song goes, “There’s No Place Like Home for the Holidays” And while you’re at home, enjoy the hearth.
If you’re fortunate tohave a fireplace in your home, ti’s the season to enjoy it during the holidays and beyond.
To keep your home safe and happy, here are a few tips to keep in mind.
Have your chimney inspected once a year by a certified chimney specialist for creosote buildup. Check their credentials. Lots of those guys are ripoffs. Never use flammable liquids to start a fire. When building a fire, place the logs toward the rear of the fireplace.
