Turnpike Accident Kills One

One person is dead in an accident with a tractor trailer near exit 7 of the New Jersey Turnpike.

New Jersey State Police confirm to WPVI that at least one person died in the accident; helicopter footage of the crash scene shows a car underneath the truck on the Turnpike's southbound side. No other injuries have been reported.

Southbound delays continued for several hours beginning at exit 8 for Route 33 in Hightstown to the accident scene at exit 7.
