NEWARK, N.J. (AP) -- Transportation Security Administration agents have returned a Chinese painting valued at $40,000 that was left behind at a checkpoint at Newark Liberty International Airport.

The TSA says an art dealer who flew from Newark to Hong Kong called her husband in Ocean County when she realized the painting was missing.

Her husband called the airline, which contacted TSA.

TSA says the husband said the Lost and Found representative was very professional and helpful in quickly returning the artwork.

This was the third expensive item recovered by TSA at Newark in the last year. A four-carat diamond ring and diamond-studded gold watch were returned to their owners.
