A new Monmouth University poll released Tuesday shows Trump has surged to 30 points among likely voters in the South Carolina primary. That's double his closest rival, which in that state is Dr. Ben Carson. After that, everyone polls less than 10 percent, including Jeb Bush at 9 percent.

Carly Fiorina has increased to 6 percent.

Gov. Chris Christie continues to see his poll numbers fall, now polling at just 2 percent. Only Rich Santorum does worse, with 1 percent.

Trump also leads the pack in recent surveys in New Hampshire and Iowa.
