A swarm of reporters came to cover the he reconstruction of the sidewalks, curbs and road between Pennington Avenue and Banks Street in Trenton according to WCAU TV. The questions quickly turned to rumors about a plea in the  corruption and bribery charges brought against him in September.

"You know, those are legal situations we're not allowed to discuss, but I will say this, and I've said it before: In America you're innocent until proven guilty and I am innocent," responded Mack according to the Times of Trenton.

Mack also reaffirmed he is in charge in the city and pointed out a crime plan of his being put into motion.
