The video, posted by TMZ Sports on Monday, shows Rice punching his Janay Palmer, now his wife, on the  elevator at the Revel casino last February.

Within hours, publication of the graphic footage prompted the Baltimore Ravens to terminate Rice's contract and the NFL to suspend him indefinitely. He had originally been suspended for just two games and praised by coaches for his behavior since the February incident.

NFL commissioner Roger Goddell and the Baltimore Ravens said they had previously only seen a shorter video of the incident, which showed Rice dragging Palmer out of the elevator.  But TMZ Executive Producer Charles Latibeaudiere tells Fox Sports 1 that a representative of the NFL had come to the Revel and watched the entire video after the incident.

“We have spoken to multiple sources at Revel Casino, which of course is now closed, but we’ve spoken to people who were working there at the time. And we are assured that someone from the NFL — it wasn’t Roger Goodell walking in, we know that," explained Latibeaudiere, "but there were people from the NFL who came and saw the video. So now the question becomes how much of that information got back to Roger Goodell, and did he ever see an actual copy of the video?”

New Jersey State Police on Tuesday afternoon tweeted that they never had video from the incident. Atlantic City Police or the Atlantic Count Prosecutor's Office would have  responded to any inquiries for the

The Associated Press reports it viewed a high quality, longer video with law enforcement officials Monday night in which Rice and Palmer can be heard shouting obscenities at each other, and she appears to spit in his face as he throws the punch that knocks her down. It then shows Rice dragging Palmer out of the elevator. He is met by several hotel staff members, one of whom is heard saying, "She's drunk, right?" And then, "No cops." No response is heard from Rice.

The Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office would not whether it had a copy of the video, the Star-Ledger reported. After the Feb. 15 incident, in which both Rice and Palmer were arrested, Rice pleaded not guilty to a charge of aggravated assault causing serious bodily injury.

Rutgers University has removed Rice from a website page titled "Scarlet Knights Currently in the NFL." Athletic Director Julie Hermann told NBC Sports,"“It was very disturbing to see the video this morning. As we go forward this serves to reinforce the ongoing need to educate and bring awareness to the issue of domestic violence.”

Rice was also edited out of a video shown before games showcasing those playersaccording to NJ.com, because he is "not currently a player."
