1966 - Bob Dylan & The Beatles spend the day watching parts of what would become D.A. Pennebaker's documentary film about Dylan's 1965 concert tour, the film would later be released as  "Don't Look Back."

1976 - The Allman Brothers Band temporarily disbanded for the first time after Greg Allman testified against his road manager, Scooter Herring. Herring was charged with drug trafficking and was sentenced to 75 years in prison.

1983 - Irene Cara started a six week run at No.1 on the US singles chart with 'Flashdance...What A Feeling'. Taken from the film "Flashdance".  Cara also starred in Kojak, What's Happening, and the Roots TV mini series.

2007 - The Police kick off a Reunion Tour at General Motors Place in Vancouver, Canada in front of 22,000 very enthusiastic fans and critics. The tour would have over 150 stops over the course of a year and finished with a show at Madison Square Garden in August of 2008.
