1982 - Billy Joel takes a motorcycle ride that ends when his vehicle collides with an automobile. He has surgery for a broken wrist.
1987 - Queen were presented with an award for Outstanding Contribution to British Music at the 32nd annual Ivor Novello Awards held in London, England.
2003 - Fleetwood Mac release their album Say You Will. The disc reunites the band with AWOL songwriter Lindsey Buckingham, but vocalist Christine McVie opts to sit this one out. Say You Will enters the chart at No. 3.
1999 - Entropy premieres at the Los Angeles Independent Film Festival. The Stephen Dorff-starring film marks the first time U2 have appeared in a dramatic movie.
