Weddings are memorable for a lot of reasons, but for one New Jersey couple, their ceremony has also gained national recognition thanks to pop singer Taylor Swift.

Although Swift's surprise performance of her hit song "Blank Space" at Brant Beach Yacht Club Saturday night came as a complete surprise to bride and groom Max Singer and Kenya Smith, it wasn't a shock to Max's sister Ali, who spent months coordinating the guest appearance, according to People.com.

Ali wrote to the singer and explained that her brother is a huge Taylor Swift fan, the article states. In April, People states that Ali and Max endured the death of their mother. before she passed away, Max and his fiance held a wedding in her hospital room. The article states that the groom danced with his mother following the service to Swift's song "Blank Space."
