November 7th, 1951 – Frank Sinatra marries his second wife, actress Ava Gardner, but it’s a bit short lived. The couple would split up in 1953 and divorce in 1957.

October 31st, 1980 - Bow Wow Wow appears at London's Rainbow Theatre with a backing singer going by the name 'Lieutenant Lush', a.k.a. Boy George.

October 24th, 1977 - Keith Richards was charged and fined after admitting to having cannabis, Chinese heroin, Quaalude tablets and a revolver at his home in Chelsea, UK. Later that same day, Keith and girlfriend Anita Pallenberg accidentally set fire to their London hotel bedroom...

October 17th, 2008 - Madonna and Guy Ritchie announce the end of their seven year marriage. The press reported that without a prenuptial agreement Ritchie could receive around $25M of Madonna’s fortune.

October 3rd, 1999 - Tom Jones goes to No.1 with his new album 'Reload', making the singer the oldest artist to score a No.1 album with new material. The album featured a collaboration with DJ Mousse T which was later used in an episode of The Simpsons.

September 26th, 1981 - The Go-Go's started a six-week run at No.1 with their debut album 'Beauty And The Beat.' It would go on to become one of the most successful debut albums of all time selling in excess of two million copies.

September 12th, 1997 - Stig Anderson, manager, songwriter, and producer for Abba dies of a heart attack. Anderson co-wrote many of Abba's greatest hits such as 'Mamma Mia', 'Dancing Queen', 'Waterloo'.

September 5th, 1981 - Stevie Nicks goes to No.1 on the album charts with Bella Donna. The album features Tom Petty on ‘Stop Draggin’ My Heart Around’, and Don Henley on ‘Leather and Lace’. September 6th, 1980 - U2 kicks off the first leg of their UK 'Boy tour' at the General Woolfe in Coventry, England...
